I arrived 6 hours early. The staff welcomed me and was very friendly and professional. They went out of the way to get me a room 4 hours before check-in time so I could rest after 2 days of travel. I would deffently stay again and encourage booking this hotel in Gatwick area for quick stop overs. Thanks Again.

Ok but Not Stellar

The advertised shuttle from the airport didn't show up on three of the scheduled times leaving me and another person waiting in the freezing cold for more than 1.5hrs. Whenever we called the hotel, they told us "10 more minutes" and then finally the guy at the reception desk suggested taking a taxi. Just to get out of the cold, we ended up splitting the cost of the taxi to the hotel which cost 14LE. When I got to the room, the heating was off so I ended up taking a long hot shower just to thaw out after standing outside for so long waiting. It took a few hours for the room to heat up to a comfortable level. Compared to other Crowne Plazas I've stayed in the past, the room was quite small and cramped. The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom was clean. I did appreciate the complimentary robe and slippers in my room. In the morning, I paid 3.5LE for the one-way ticket on the shuttle which stopped at several other hotels drawing out the time needed to go to the airport to well over 30 minutes from Crowne Plaza. The shuttle service leaves from the side of the hotel in an uncovered area not the lobby which I thought was a bit odd.
